Your pet’s safety is our mission.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MICROCHIPPING MY DOGS AND CATS?

  1. Permanent Identification: Unlike collars and tags, which can be lost or removed, a microchip provides a permanent form of identification for your pet. It cannot fall off or be easily tampered with.
  2. Reunification: The primary purpose of microchipping is to increase the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners. When a lost pet is found and brought to a shelter or veterinary clinic, they can scan the microchip to retrieve the owner's contact information from a national pet database.
  3. Reliable Contact Information: Since the information on the microchip is stored in a secure database, it is less likely to become outdated or inaccurate compared to tags or collars that might need frequent updates.
  4. Legal Ownership: In case of disputes over pet ownership, a microchip can serve as legal proof of ownership because it links the pet to a specific owner in a database.
  5. Peace of Mind: Knowing that your pet has a reliable form of identification can provide peace of mind, especially if your pet is prone to wandering or escaping.
  6. Lost or Stolen Pet Recovery: Microchipping can significantly increase the chances of recovering a pet that has been stolen, as thieves won't easily remove a microchip compared to a collar or tag.
  7. Health and Safety: The microchipping procedure is relatively quick and painless for your pet and can be done during a routine vet visit. It does not pose any health risks.
  8. Travel and International Regulations: Some countries and airlines require pets to be microchipped for identification and tracking purposes when traveling.
  9. Community Safety: Microchipping helps reduce the number of stray and unclaimed animals, which can have positive effects on the overall safety and well-being of a community.
  10. Compliance with the local Animal Wellfare Act  (P.B. 2023, No. 90): Accoridng to the Animal Wellfare Act published early 2023, it is now mandatory to now microchiop and register your dogs. Ofcourse, we also recommend this be done with your cats.

It's important to note that while microchipping is a valuable tool for pet identification and recovery, it should not be a replacement for other forms of identification, such as collars with ID tags. Combining multiple forms of identification, including a microchip, provides the best chance of your pet being returned to you if they become lost. Additionally, make sure to keep your contact information up to date in the microchip registry to maximize its effectiveness.
